This is me whining, pull out your violin and cry your heart out for me Argentina. Everyday some bullshit gets thrown in the way of my many attempts to make progress in my life. Sometimes the bullshit isn’t bad bullshit, sometimes is just bullshit I didn’t expect to be thrown into the gears when I’m trying to make headway in my pursuit for stability.

I’m a classic hair band listener, get used to it. One of my family’s favorite bands is Bon Jovi, who had a quote in one of his songs we can’t seem to avoid: “I could kick this bad world’s ass if I could just get on my feet.” You know what I mean? If you don’t, then you’re probably blessed with rich folks or maybe you inherited a bundle when someone in your family died. If this is you, please go drink your vanilla iced chai latte somewhere else. This site is for those of us who get shit on whenever we stop and look up to the sky with hope.

Success is something you make for yourself. I have many accomplishments, awards, honors, friends, plaques, trophies, and a 3 page deep achievement list (yes, I keep track). I’m a believer in the idea that one can be liberated of “the man” if one applies oneself relentlessly toward the pursuit of liberty. If you stay at a JOB more than a few months you will become part of the system, and the years will float by at the speed of light, and sadly, you will not be getting a nice retirement or social security (it’s not 1970, it’s 2010 – wake up). You will, however, be replaced by someone younger with more technical experience in 3-5 years from now and will have to start over.

So if you’re like me, you have something on the side that you hope will replace that JOB. I have finally reached that point, but because I can’t replicate myself just quite yet, I’m working about 18 hours per day. But guess what? Nobody has to give me approval to use the restroom. Nobody has to sign a permission slip for me to spend a day with my family. Even better, I get to spend what little extra time I have not commuting improving my skills and craft. I’m better now than I ever have been. Free your mind Neo.
